Benjamin Childs  Registered Psychotherapist

Benjamin grew up in Midhurst and recently moved back to Simcoe County after living and working in Toronto for the last ten years. With fifteen years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families in human services, he strives to create a positive and non-judgemental space, collaboratively working with his clients to develop individualized treatment plans to support them in overcoming and forging ahead with the life they want to live.

With strong belief that therapy is not a ‘one size fits all’, he takes an integrated approach to therapy, drawing upon various modalities of practice to personalize your work together to achieve your preferred outcomes. Many of his clients seek support with anxiety, depression, and stress; and, with lived experience in the 2SLGBTQ+ community, he takes pride in offering affirmative support for any related concerns.

In his downtime, you can find him outside in any season and (most) weather conditions, usually hiking with his dog, George. Easy access to nature and quality time with family and friends are key elements for his own mental health and well-being.

As he is beginning to develop his practice in our community, Benjamin will be accepting clients for both in-person and virtual appointments.
